Abstract: Peter Eyland, a former Lecturer in the School of Physics at UNSW, has an MA in Ancient History from Macquarie University. His talk was subtitled: The nature and spread of Syriac Christianity, the coming of Islam, the development of science under Islam, croissants and the Renaissance.
